My App Stack — November 2023 Edition (the when things might change edition)

I want to update this more fully but I am thinking about it a lot at the moment and so I thought I would post an update.

Calendar

Ever since Sunrise shutdown, I have yet to find a viable option for this. If I was an Apple user, it would be Apple Calendar.

I have used Google as the calendar service for years but I have never settled on an app to be the ‘front end’ if you will. This is especially difficult as my new work calendar is in Outlook and I really dislike Outlook’s calendar.

So, at the moment I am sticking with Google but I am on the hunt for a better app where I could have all my calendars in one place, without paying a fortune.

Google calendar is fast, it syncs well and it has a lot of really useful little features that I am learning about all the time that make it excellent.

Cloud Storage

I use Google Drive for this. There isn’t really anything else to say here.

Emails

For all my work emails, I am stuck in Outlook but for everything else I use an app called Postbox on both Windows and Mac. On my Android Phone I am currently testing Edison Mail — but will likely revert to Gmail. I used to use Spark, which I loved, but the new version I really dislike.
