Journalling in Twos App

I’ve started using Twos as my daily journal. I’m not sure this use case is specifically what Twos is designed for, but I think Twos is designed to be flexible enough to support this kind of use.

Twos is designed as a place to ‘write things down’. Imagine a kind digital bullet journal style app and you won’t be far away from a good image in your mind. So, why use it as a Journalling app?

Well, one type of ‘thing’ in Twos is a full on note, not just a bullet point or to-do item. So that means you can use Twos for this. Everything you write, by default goes into your ‘list’ for Today. That means that functionally, it is works like a journal.

But, here is the fantastic part. Twos has a global shortcut on your computer and a widget on your phone that quickly enables you to capture a new ‘thing’ into your today list. This is designed for quick note of any kind. It works really well for journalling purposes. I don’t use it for notes or reminders or anything like that. I use to write down my thoughts and feelings about different things that are happening, as they happen or when they are still clear in my mind.

In addition to spending some focussed time writing out my reflections, this enables me to record thoughts in real time. When I look back on these days in the future, it gives me a much clearer picture of my life.
